We are searching for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the Baltimore plant. The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of maintenance experience, including welding and cutting, pneumatics and mechanical drive components relating to conveyor systems as used in high speed production line environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in the above areas are also required. Strong electrical background a plus.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed production line environment.
  • Welding and cutting experience.
  • Pneumatics and mechanical drive components relating to conveyor systems experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Nice To Haves

  • Strong electrical background a plus.
  • Technical school degree, vocational diploma, or completed apprenticeship in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant trade certifications (e.g., Welding Certification, Crane/Rigging Certification, Forklift Operator License, or Journeyman Electrical license).

Responsibilities

  • Basic understanding of plant electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems conveyors, belts and splices, bearings, and mechanical drives.
  • Welding and cutting as required using oxygen acetylene torches and electric arc welding equipment.
  • Performs maintenance using hand tools and power tools such as: impact wrenches, power saws, drills, sledge hammers and pry bars.
  • Replacing electric motors, switches and wires as required.
  • Troubleshooting, repair and operation of machine equipment.
  • Ability to perform carpentry and plumbing work.
  • Will re-knife cutting cylinders as required.
  • Operation of lift truck to unload trucks and do maintenance work.
  • Operation of crane and safe rigging practices.
  • Performs preventative maintenance work and documents work done.
  • Troubleshooting of equipment to restore service.
  • Responsible for the housekeeping of tools and work area.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
