The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment. This includes machinery maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, welding, fabricating, and possible installations. The role also involves performing preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, presses, and stackers. The mechanic must be able to read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. They will troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components, AC/DC motors, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission systems. Fabrication of equipment using welding (arc and gas) is also a key responsibility, along with making adjustments to improve productivity and identifying unusual sounds indicating potential trouble. Dismantling equipment to access defective parts is also required.
