About The Position
This role involves performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks on trucks, trailers, and various heavy equipment such as cranes, loaders, forklifts, and skid steers. The position also includes the repair and maintenance of containers and ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are met. Inventory management for parts is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Must possess State of Michigan truck mechanic certifications and CDL - A
- Must have welding and fabrication skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours which may include nights and weekends
- Ability to perform truck and trailer repair, emergency on the road repair
- Ability to perform emergency on the road repair and diagnosis and repair of crane/loader/forklift/skid steer/etc.
- Ability to perform repair and maintenance of containers
- Comply with Federal DOT inspections and record keeping
- Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
- Knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems
- Be able to supply own basic tools
Responsibilities
