About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at its location in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The maintenance team helps keep operations running safely and efficiently. The role involves hands-on work with building schematics and blueprints, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC systems, conveyor systems, building maintenance, cranes, high-speed doors, and other equipment and facilities systems. The company provides a clean, organized parts room and heavier specialty tools; employees bring basic tools. No travel is required. The position pays $27.77–$41.33, with actual pay assessed based on experience and skill set. Performance incentives are offered, along with an annual $500 tool allowance and $150 boot allowance.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. The job may require work at heights, in freezing spaces, both indoors and outdoors, and anywhere within the building as needed. Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. Gordon Food Service is a tobacco-free, drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment drug tests. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle certification required.
• Three years of previous machine repair experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Previous forklift repair experience.
• Able to lift or move up to 100 pounds during the shift.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
