Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Day and Night Shift - Claremont Plant
About The Position
Tyson Foods is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for their Claremont, NC facility. This full-time position operates six days a week and produces Sandwiches and Bakery Items. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. Technicians work 12-hour shifts on a 2-3-2 schedule, offering every other weekend off. There is potential for rapid advancement based on training and demonstrated skills. Requirements
- Basic computer skills in order to complete required training and/or tasks.
- Ability to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks.
- Ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have 6 months of work history in the past 12 months.
- Applicants will be considered for General Maintenance level openings.

Nice To Haves
- Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning and assisting operator on change over.
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment including ovens, freezers, cartoners, wrappers and all other manufacturing systems plant wide.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times.
- Maintain all required records.
- Observe and promote all Plant Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
