About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II role is responsible for installing and maintaining production machines and plant facilities' equipment. This position involves performing highly diversified duties, including emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment. The mechanic will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, fabricate equipment and parts, and perform regular preventive maintenance. The role also requires detecting faulty operations or defective materials and reporting them to supervision. Some weekend work and the ability to work changing shifts are necessary.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of industrial maintenance experience and/or prior industrial maintenance school.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment; Glass industry is preferred (not required).
  • Prior fabrication experience.
  • Prior MIG welding experience highly preferred.
  • Control circuit troubleshooting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of 480v 3 phase/270v/110v/24v.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Able to use multimeter efficiently.
  • VFD programming knowledge.
  • PLC output and input controls troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CNC control systems.
  • Knowledge of potentiometers/servos/drives/encoders.
  • Proficient at troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

  • Mig welding experience is a plus.
  • Glass industry is preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of production machines.
  • Fabricate equipment and parts as needed.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Detect faulty operations or defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
