About The Position
Tyson Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for their Claremont Plant. This full-time position operates six days a week and produces Sandwiches and Bakery Items. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. Technicians work 12-hour shifts on a 2-3-2 schedule, offering every other weekend off. There is potential for rapid advancement based on training and demonstrated skills. Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 6 months of work history in the past 12 months.
- Basic computer skills in order to complete required training and/or tasks.
- Ability to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks.
- Ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.
Nice To Haves
- Applicants will be considered for General Maintenance level openings. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
- Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Performing all preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning and assisting operators on changeovers.
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment including ovens, freezers, cartoners, wrappers and all other manufacturing systems plant-wide.
- Maintaining proper housekeeping in the work area and keeping equipment clean and orderly at all times.
- Maintaining all required records.
- Observing and promoting all Plant Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
