Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must pass pre-employment skills assessment
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
  • Must understand OSHA mechanical safety requirements and machine guarding
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems required

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year technical degree in Mechanical Technology preferred
  • State-certified Machinist or Millwright Journeyman certification preferred
  • Electrical troubleshooting knowledge is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding, Precision machining, Industrial maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision machining, tool repair, and equipment maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and production equipment
  • Distinguish between electrical and mechanical issues and perform basic electrical repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, detail prints, assembly drawings, and specifications
  • Operate machining equipment including: Lathes, Milling machines, Drill presses, Grinding machines
  • Use precision measuring instruments including: Calipers, Micrometers, Comparators, Surface plates
  • Perform fabrication, welding, brazing, soldering, and burning operations
  • Machine parts to precision tolerances and specified finishes
  • Repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
  • Repair air compressors and replace filters
  • Assemble, align, and adjust tooling and die components
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and lifting devices safely
  • Complete maintenance documentation and data entry
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
