Kentucky Tech Instructor Rank III- Industrial Maintenance Instructor (156-OCTE)
About The Position
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), Estill County Area Technology Center (ATC) in Irvine, KY has an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Instructor. This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service. The applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System. Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check. Salary is dependent upon qualifications, training, and experience. KDE participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. KDE will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.
Requirements
- Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught OR Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught OR Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
- Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCR, ABC, AGC). Applicant can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
Responsibilities
- Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
- Performs other duties as required.
