About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Generalist is responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition at a Tyson Foods facility in Haltom City, Texas. The facility produces corn dogs and operates six days per week. The role is on third shift and requires overtime and weekend work. The position may range from Maintenance Generalist 01 to Maintenance Generalist 08, with hourly rates ranging from $24.55 to $35.10; the offer is based on individual knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate must be able to meet the listed physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. A Lock Out Tag Out certification is required. Requirements

• At least one year of mechanic work experience, which may be combined across employers, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 20 pounds repeatedly during the shift and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping, as well as frequent overhead work.
• Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Lock Out Tag Out certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance repairs.
• Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
• Support production by addressing equipment problems during the shift.
• Handle mechanical problems that arise in a fast-paced environment.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Maintain records and demonstrate attention to detail.
