About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team in Gainesville, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, ensuring equipment uptime, and supporting facility operations. This position also requires a willingness to assist with mechanical repairs as needed to support a fully integrated maintenance strategy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Industrial or Maintenance Electrician
- Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting, schematics, PLCs, and VFDs
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E safety standards and industrial control systems
- Willingness to perform hands-on mechanical work as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
Nice To Haves
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems across production equipment and facility infrastructure
- Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs, and related components
- Interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical equipment
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with electrical codes and plant safety policies
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting motors, pumps, and pneumatic systems
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Utilize CMMS system for work order and parts tracking
