About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the Worcester, MA team! This role involves installing, inspecting, testing, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of equipment related to industrial production and building facilities, as well as repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment. The position requires diagnosing electrical and electronic equipment or installations by using prints, tracing and testing circuits for failure. It also includes designing control systems, performing all work in accordance with electrical codes and sound electrical practices, and planning procedures for repairs and maintenance of various industrial and building equipment. The role also involves observing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting mechanical devices, determining repair extent, estimating labor time, requisitioning or making parts, and performing periodic inspections to ensure proper maintenance and recommend preventative measures. The Industrial Maintenance Electrician will also ensure compliance with Worcester Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Massachusetts State Journeyman’s Electrical License.
Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience in maintenance, mechanical or electrical fields.
Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Worcester, MA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

Trade or vocational school degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
7 years of industrial manufacturing experience in maintenance, mechanical and electrical fields.
At least 1 year experience with CNC machinery and programmable controllers (Allen Bradley preferred).
At least 1 year experience in MIG Welding.
At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment.
Manufacturing systems knowledge (KANBAN, JIT, Production scheduling).
Familiar with arc flash procedures.
Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
Ability to receive work orders, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, installation prints and verbal instructions to perform work as required.
Ability to use small power tools, such as drills, drill presses, and band saw.
Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs.
Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers.
Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
Knowledge of basic shop math.
Ability to read and follow standard work.
Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
Must be able to lift parts up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
