About The Position

Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the 2nd Shift Machine Builder/Millwright will assemble fabricated and machined components to build shot blast equipment. This role requires strong mechanical ability, the ability to rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently, and perform advanced small to large machinery assembly. A full understanding of blueprint readings and schematics is necessary. The position also involves determining proper tools and machinery, completing final inspections, monthly safety training, and supporting internal and external customers. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area is essential. Welding ability is preferred but not required. The role also involves driving and supporting BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

Requirements

  • Very strong mechanical ability to assemble fabricated and machined components.
  • Ability to rig and load trucks using overhead cranes independently.
  • Ability to perform advanced small to large machinery assembly.
  • Full understanding of blueprint readings and schematics.
  • Determine proper tools and machinery required to complete the production schedule.
  • Complete final inspection of all parts to meet quality standards.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Support both internal and external customers.
  • Provide support and backup as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Verbal and Written Communication skills
  • Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Problem Solving skills, the ability to make decisions and follow-through.
  • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
  • Mechanical Knowledge.
  • Overhead crane experience required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or similar setting required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience repairing heavy industrial equipment preferred.
  • Ability to weld preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with industrial heavy machine assembly preferred.
  • Hydraulics experience is a plus.
