About The Position

Shell Health in Canada/Americas is a team of health professionals dedicated to protecting worker health and managing health risks to the lowest possible level, while meeting high standards and offering practical, value-add solutions. The team provides integrated, preventive health support across a range of subjects focused on protection, promotion, and access. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will provide expertise and guidance to support the Sarnia Manufacturing site in the Downstream Chemicals and Products business, and the Sarnia Terminal in the Trading and Supply business. This role is part of a global network of Industrial Hygienists committed to a shared vision, allowing access to broad knowledge and experience. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract for up to 18 months, providing opportunities for skill development and broader organizational exposure.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or a health discipline such as nursing, toxicology, ergonomics, and/or a Master’s in Industrial Hygiene.
  • 4 or more years of experience in Industrial Hygiene practice.
  • Thorough knowledge of local legislative requirements on workplace health and safety.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Must have a Driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in an industrial environment is desirable.
  • Proven experience as a radiation safety officer, including training, is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver agreed Industrial Hygiene activities and support using standardized tools and processes.
  • Interpret information and provide advice from experts in an area of expertise.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships on the asset.
  • Input to site inspections and audits, conduct and review of health risk assessments.
  • Assure quality of own work.
  • Actively balance the regional delivery role with the horizontal input as required to the Central teams.
