About The Position

Buckeye Power Sales is seeking a dedicated, results-motivated, and accountable Industrial Sales Representative who is looking for daily challenges, ownership of their role, a friendly team environment, and a stable workplace that feels like family. This role involves performing sales calls, developing qualified leads, managing selling activities to optimize performance and customer satisfaction, resolving customer problems, staying informed about competitor activities, utilizing CRM, coordinating with support teams, providing marketing ideas, attending sales seminars, and achieving business goals.

Requirements

  • Conforms with the core values of BPS
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred)
  • 18+ years of age
  • 2 yrs minimum experience with Power Generation required
  • 2-5 yrs minimum experience in sales preferred
  • Able to read (or learn to read), analyze & interpret engineering specifications, documents & regulations
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability through company insurer
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to travel within established Territory
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent Problem-Solving skills
  • Above average math skills; able to calculate discounts, gross profit, percentages
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence others
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Capable of preserving confidential and sensitive material

  • Computer skills to include MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); data entry
  • Must represent the company in a positive manner at all times including a professional appearance
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Must be able to pass background check and periodic drug screens & license checks

Responsibilities

  • Performing sales calls in person, over the phone, and via e-mail
  • Developing a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling, direct mail activities and networking
  • Managing selling activities so as to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Working with customers to resolve problems and provide solutions
  • Seeking and continuously developing knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicates this to relevant Company staff
  • Utilizing CRM to follow up on quotes and selling benefits of BPS/Rehlko
  • Coordinating with Sales Support & Service Team on sale, delivery and start-up of generators
  • Providing ideas to Marketing and Sales Manager that will help grow the product line
  • Attending sales seminars, sales meetings, or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, regulations and products in the market place
  • Achieving business and organizational goals, visions, and objectives
