About The Position
Civil Construction Contractors, LLC, an industrial civil contractor located in Hahnville, LA, is currently seeking an Industrial Foreman to lead and control skilled labor and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with the civil works aspects of a project and supervises workers engaged in the construction.
Requirements
- Valid TWIC card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background security check
- Ability to pass a DISA Drug and Alcohol test and DISA Background Test
Responsibilities
- Understand project schedules and the importance of meeting milestones.
- Understand estimates, budgets, job costing, and forecasted project costs.
- Read, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and other discipline-related project and engineering documentation.
- Optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of works.
- Demonstrate good organizational skills, following safety policies, procedures and construction work practices.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all other department personnel as well as the client.
- Liaise with other company supervisors to ensure optimum utilization of available work for successful project completion.
- Give instructions in an efficient and effective way to the workforce.
- Perform coordination and performance related activities such as site preparation, earthwork, drainage, foundation layout, form works, concreting, carpentry, reinforcing steel, etc.
- Ensure crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.
- Prevent wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools.
- Supervise work crews to best utilize manpower and materials.
- Exercise discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
- Enforce and adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures designated by safety.
- Actively involved in JSA procedures and audits.
