Responsible for complex planning activities, maintenance principal development and analytical analysis for process equipment layouts in plant, office, and production facilities. Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. The role requires the candidate to live in the Pittsburgh area. The engineer will provide knowledge-based solutions and services to improve customer performance, design process equipment, facilities, components, and systems for metal recovery, upgrading, and aggregate production. They will coordinate and provide operation & maintenance assistance and guidance to site personnel, assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance strategies, and provide detailed reporting on projects. A customer satisfaction mindset, flexibility for additional technical support, and an analytical approach to problem-solving are essential. The role involves using computer-assisted engineering software, preparing economic justification and capital expenditure reports, providing project management and field engineering services, supervising craft persons and installation of plant/equipment, conceiving plans based on engineering standards and codes, evaluating equipment performance, preparing component specifications, evaluating bids, estimating costs, approving variances, preparing layouts for material flow and environmental impact, calculating utility requirements, and familiarizing with PLC controllers and software.
