About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of manufacturing facilities, performing both light and heavy janitorial duties. Additionally, the position involves facility audits and improvement planning, assessing facility conditions, reporting hazards and repair needs, and identifying opportunities for facility improvements to the Plant Manager. The role also includes backup responsibilities for designated pellet mill operator and/or packaging operator positions, assisting with PM accountabilities, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Must possess good eye, hand and foot coordination
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations

Nice To Haves

• One to two years production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform both light and heavy janitorial duties in a manufacturing environment
• Assess facility conditions at regular intervals
• Report hazards identified, along with repair needs and other opportunities for facility improvements to the Plant Manager
• Fill in as back up for designated pellet mill operator and/or packaging operator when needed
• Assist with PM accountabilities as needed
• Perform other duties as required
