About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of manufacturing facilities. The position involves performing both light and heavy janitorial duties. Additionally, the role includes facility audits and improvement planning, with a 50% focus on cleaning and 50% on audits and backup operational duties. The cleaner will also serve as backup for designated pellet mill operator and/or packaging operator roles when needed and assist with PM accountabilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to do simple math calculations.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform light and heavy janitorial duties in a manufacturing environment.
• Assess facility conditions at regular intervals and report hazards, repair needs, and opportunities for improvement to the Plant Manager.
• Fill in as backup for designated pellet mill operator and/or packaging operator when needed.
• Assist with PM accountabilities as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
