About The Position

Kristian Electric Ltd. (KEL) is a family business founded in 1964, specializing in the service, parts, sales, and rentals of electric overhead cranes, welding equipment, hoists, and material handling equipment. KEL operates across Alberta, B.C., and Saskatchewan, and is a leader in its industry. The company is seeking a passionate and hard-working Industrial Equipment Sales Representative, specializing in Welding and Plasma, to join their Saskatoon branch. This role involves promoting KEL's products and services, including Welding Machines, Overhead Cranes and Hoists, Induction Heating, and Plasma Cutting Equipment, with a strong emphasis on repair services. The goal is to attract new customers, improve profits, and provide excellent customer service.

  • 1-2 years of Sales experience in an industrial organization.
  • 1-2 years of customer service and/or administrative experience.
  • A driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years clean driving abstract will be requested prior to hiring.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new clients and sales through personal contact with clients, repeat clients and sales leads.
  • Establishing ongoing rapport with existing clients.
  • Timely & accurate documentation and completion of client orders.
  • Keep accurate reports of sales calls with respect to sales and prospects. Discuss weekly activities and reports with your supervisor.
  • Achieve quarterly sales quotas.
  • Advising clients on the most appropriate equipment for their specific needs.
  • Handling inquiries about equipment function, benefits, pricing, available warranties.
  • Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, home and trade shows and open house events, as required.
  • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
  • Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude always.
  • Perform other office duties as required.
  • Maintain constant communication on all job progress.
  • Verifying all labor and parts are accounted for on Work Orders and Invoices, both commercial and internal.
