About The Position

Richelieu Hardware is seeking a driven and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to join their Calgary Alberta branch. This role involves developing and growing sales within an assigned territory by promoting Richelieu’s extensive range of hardware products. The representative will act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that support their business success while driving Richelieu’s continued growth. Richelieu Hardware is a North American leader and a change agent in a creative and dynamic industry, operating as an importer, distributor, and manufacturer of specialty hardware and complementary products. They serve over 120,000 customers across North America, including manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, storage and closets, residential and office furniture, residential and commercial woodworking, and hardware retailers. The company boasts a team of 3,000 people, with a significant portion dedicated to sales and marketing, and over 50% are shareholders.

Requirements

3 -5 years of experience in outside sales and/or business development, with a proven ability to prospect and grow new accounts
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within your territory.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
Develop in-depth knowledge of Richelieu’s product portfolio, including hardware solutions for woodworking, construction, and related industries.
Conduct in-person meetings, product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations to successfully close sales.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales objectives while maximizing profitability.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and prompt resolution of customer inquiries or concerns.
