About The Position

CTI is Building A Better Future For Our Customers, Our People and Our Communities! SUMMARY Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Portable Concrete Plant Mechanic. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the portable concrete batch plants. They troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform welding and fabrication (minor), and ensure safety compliance. This role involves setting up plants at new job sites, conducting preventative maintenance (greasing, changing filters, etc.), and minimizing downtime through swift, on-site repairs.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and/or millwright operations, preferably in a concrete or construction environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Able to diagnose, repair, and adjust hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
  • Welding (MIG or Stick) and electrical knowledge associated with heavy equipment.
  • Able to maintain a high level of work quality.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Insurable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must pass post conditional offer of employment physical.

Nice To Haves

  • two years technical school preferred.
  • Class B CDL w/Air Brakes endorsement, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance such as oiling, greasing, and changing filters on conveyors, motors, mixers, and air compressors.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
  • Use cutting torches and welding equipment to repair structural parts and conveyor systems.
  • Efficiently dismantle/deconstruct, move, and erect portable plant components at various job sites.
  • Operate support equipment like forklifts, skid steers, manlifts and/or front-end loaders during maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and using excellent safety practices while visiting job sites, per CTI policies and OSHA, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
