About The Position

This position is for a skilled electro-mechanical systems professional to join a small, family-owned business in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves extensive travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. The company provides training and support, and compensation is based on experience and skill level. Requirements

Solid knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, industrial equipment, pumps, motors, VFD’s, plumbing, piping, industrial pressure washing systems, generators, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC systems.
Excellent driving record.
Willing to submit to a thorough background check that complies with the DOD and other government partners.
Provide excellent service to valued customers.
The job is considered medium-to-heavy in nature and involves walking, maneuvering around moving objects/machinery, standing, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, digging, pushing or raising, objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
Ability to work outside under various environmental conditions, may include some exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.
Ability to climb ladders with 300 lb. weight limit.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including for marijuana.

Responsibilities

Travel extensively, locally as well as overnight and out of state.
Assemble and install new equipment.
Perform inspections.
Conduct preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot, repair, and provide emergency service of industrial process equipment at customer sites.
