About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Industrial Engineering Manager (Level K) to support the 777/777X Industrial Engineering (IE) team based in Everett, WA. As an Industrial Engineering First-Line Manager, you will be working closely with Operations leaders and other stakeholders as we increase production rates and improve productivity. The BCA IE team you will be leading provides a critical role in helping Operations manage the production system and improving processes for into the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations/Industrial Engineering.
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of work group, project or process goals.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own work group, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis and improvement activities throughout the business units.
  • Development and implementation of plans, policies and procedures in alignment with business plans, strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Acquires and coordinates resources for projects and processes and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
