  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methods (coursework or project experience; Yellow Belt a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Create process maps/flow charts for key MSO workflows (current-state and future-state) using standard IE tools (swim lanes, decision points, handoffs), and validates maps through stakeholder interviews and observation/shadowing.
  • Develop and update SOPs / standard work (step-by-step procedures, roles & responsibilities, checklists, job aids, escalation paths) to improve consistency, quality, and training effectiveness.
  • Identify waste and root causes using Lean/IE problem-solving methods (5 Whys, fishbone/Ishikawa, Pareto, spaghetti diagrams, value stream mapping) and translates findings into improvement recommendations.
  • Conduct time studies and workload analysis to quantify cycle times, wait times, touch time, rework, and staffing impacts; summarizes findings for leadership.
  • Build performance reporting and dashboards to monitor operational KPIs (throughput, backlog, SLA compliance, aging, productivity, error rates) and supports ongoing performance reviews.
  • Support process improvement pilots by defining measures of success, documenting changes, training stakeholders on new workflows, and tracking pre/post results.
  • Facilitate working sessions with cross-functional partners to capture requirements, confirm process steps, and align on future-state design.
