Position Summary: Under the direction of designated staff, performs assigned duties that aid in the overall educational experience of the intern. This is a long-term, paid engagement with increasing responsibility and direct collaboration with Senior Nursing Leaders. The core focus of this role is data analytics and interpretation at an enterprise level — working directly with nursing leadership to collect, organize, and analyze operational data spanning staffing ratios, patient throughput, quality outcomes, and workforce trends. The intern will transform raw data into clear narratives that drive strategic decisions, developing recurring reports and interactive dashboards. Candidates with experience in Power BI are strongly encouraged to apply; those without prior exposure will develop proficiency in Power BI and other data programs as a structured part of the role. Beyond reporting, this intern will identify process improvement opportunities rooted in enterprise data trends. Using Industrial Engineering principles — Lean methodologies, time-motion analysis, and systems thinking — the intern will translate insights into actionable recommendations for nursing leadership.
