Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience can be obtained through on-the-job training, research, coursework, or projects.
Responsibilities
- Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run from June to December. This includes the summer, and it is expected that students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage in this working mentorship opportunity.
- Work directly with our manufacturing production floor employees, including operators, inspectors, quality personnel, and test technicians, to solve day-to-day issues and proactively work on longer-term projects to eliminate recurring issues.
- Design tooling to aid the manufacturing process, utilizing additive manufacturing (3D printing) to support production needs.
- Participate in the analysis of optimal layout, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
- Assist in planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to maximize the utilization of equipment.
- Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
