Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and basic visualization.
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, process mapping, time studies, or root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Work directly with manufacturing production floor employees, including operators, inspectors, quality, and test technicians, to solve day-to-day issues and proactively address long-term projects to eliminate recurring problems.
Design tooling to aid the manufacturing process while utilizing additive manufacturing (3D printing) to support production needs.
Analyze the best layout and flow for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
Assist in planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to maximize equipment utilization.
Conduct studies related to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
