We are seeking an Industrial Engineer within our Materials Management team in the department of Stations, Facilities, and Structures. The Stations, Facilities & Structures division oversees the inspections, operations, and maintenance of all MBTA facilities, from stations to office buildings, and structures, such as bridges and tunnels. The Industrial Engineer will support the Stations, Facilities & Structures division through the design and optimization of materials management processes, with a strong emphasis on equipment asset management. The Industrial Engineer will develop efficient workflows, planning methods, and control systems that improve how materials, tools, and critical equipment assets are tracked, maintained, and utilized. In addition to strengthening inventory accuracy and standardizing asset controls across trade shops, the Industrial Engineer supports planning for equipment investments and procurements by analyzing operational needs, assessing lifecycle data, and informing long-term asset and material strategies. This work enhances equipment readiness, promotes transparent lifecycle management, and ensures that procurement and capital planning decisions align with operational priorities.
