About The Position

As part of the Operations Team, the Industrial Engineer Intern supports the development of process standards, analyzes improvement opportunities, and applies lean methodology to improve safety, quality, and productivity. The role collaborates with various departments to study operations, identify inefficiencies, develop cycle time standards, and improve work instructions. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
• Proven communication and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis, lean manufacturing, and Excel at a minimum.
• At least one year of college coursework in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of college coursework in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minitab knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform lean manufacturing techniques and studies to optimize safety, quality, and process flow, including 5S, root cause analysis, and cellular flow.
• Study and analyze operations processes to determine inefficiencies.
• Conduct critical observations and provide feedback on process opportunities.
• Drive the development of accurate cycle time standards.
• Develop and improve Operations Work Instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
