Industrial Engine Shop Technician
About The Position
The successful candidate must have relevant working experience and be able to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of industrial engine/rental equipment in a fast paced environment and must be able to multi-task. The primary focus of this position will be the maintenance of the rental fleet. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities and the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary consideration. Requirements
- Relevant working experience
- Able to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of industrial engine/rental equipment
- Able to multi-task
- Good human relations skills and abilities
- Personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers
- Previous experience with diesel engines, power generation and air compressor repairs
- Must have good motor coordination skills
- Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
- Verbal intelligence, and numerical intelligence
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Responsibilities
- Independently and successfully diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel engines, compressors, pumps and heaters
- Perform work on generators in various working conditions
- Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes with a demonstrated proficiency in S.I.S. and E.T.
- Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders
- Work overtime as required
- Maintain tool requirements
