Requirements

  • Must be a Red Seal certified electrician.
  • PLC experience, motion control and the ability to troubleshoot VFD drives, optimizer systems and scanners.
  • Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
  • Be a positive contributor to a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a multi-shift work schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Sawmill, planer and energy systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and controls for our Sawmill, Planer and Kilns/CDK.
  • Set up, troubleshoot and repair PLC and HMI systems.
  • Solve problems and work as part of a team focused on machine reliability and breakdown prevention.
