About The Position

BCAA is seeking a Regular Full-Time Red Seal Automotive Technician for its Kelowna Automotive Service Centre. This role involves managing all repairs, mentoring other technicians, and leading by example in safety, operational excellence, and communication. The ideal candidate is passionate about problem-solving, ensuring member satisfaction and safety, and enjoys sharing knowledge. A fast-paced environment with flexible hours and weekend work is suitable for this position.

Requirements

Automotive Red Seal Certificate.
Current and up-to-date training on automotive technologies with a focus on OBD-II courses.
Three-years of experience as a Journeyperson Technician.
Clean BC Driver License Class 5 or better.
Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kg), bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with Automotive DMS systems and modern scan tools.

Responsibilities

Complete all repairs to meet BCAA’s high standards for safety, performance and outstanding service to our Members.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with environmental standards, operational policies and procedures while ensuring equipment is in good working condition for your entire BCAA team.
Be proactive by staying current with advances in vehicle technology.
Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure a seamless experience for our Members.
Assist and mentor apprentices and lube technicians to ensure repairs are accurate and complete.
