About The Position

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all facility electrical systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and upholding safety standards within the facility. The position is located in Macon, Georgia, and offers a competitive starting pay range of $35.49-$44.05 per hour, paid weekly. The available shift is the 1st Shift, a 12-hour schedule operating on a 5-2-2-5 pattern from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Hiring is immediate.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in electrical systems and controls.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.
  • Ability to work safely and to communicate with others in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in basic computer operation and data entry; some experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams
  • Organized.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
  • PLC ladder diagram reading.
  • Full understanding of all levels of wiring diagrams.
  • Must be proficient in electrical and controls knowledge; Allen Bradley experience preferred.
  • Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and work in a hot/cold environment.
  • Must have a proficient knowledge of hand, power and diagnostic tools.
  • Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school certificate or diploma in a specific work-related area, such as electronics technology, electro- mechanical engineering technology, etc., preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains PLC/HMI information systems to improve metric to meet operations goals.
  • Maintain facility equipment original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the facility’s electrical assets.
  • Conducts electrical repairs to the manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintains maintenance records for electrical work performed.
  • Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
  • Maintains excellent attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
