Industrial Electrician Apprentice
About The Position
Cerro Flow Products LLC, as part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings (backed by Berkshire Hathaway), is seeking an Industrial Electrician Apprentice. This role involves assisting experienced electricians with the installation, repairs, and maintenance of electrical components, wiring, and equipment in machinery and facilities. The apprentice will utilize tools and testing equipment to complete electrical work and will learn the trade from experienced coworkers. Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures (e.g., lock-out/tag-out, electrical safety).
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and propose and implement solutions to support production operations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to work off shifts (evenings and overnights) and overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high-speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules.
- Knowledge of grounded delta electrical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting more experienced electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical components, wiring, and electrical equipment in all machinery and facilities.
- Utilizing tools and testing equipment to complete electrical work.
- Troubleshooting problems, identifying root causes, and proposing and implementing solutions to support production operations.
- Troubleshooting and re-wiring high-speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Following safety policies and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and electrical safety.
- Learning the trade from more experienced coworkers as you build your skills.
