About The Position

As an Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians, you will install, start up, troubleshoot, commission, and service industrial and commercial electrical equipment and systems. You will follow the Journeyman Electrician’s directions to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. Loenbro is a construction lifecycle partner serving customers across industries throughout the United States. The company’s services include critical electrical, mechanical and structural work, soft crafts, inspection, underground maintenance and installation, and fabrication. This is a full-time, on-site position in an outdoor construction setting in Leander, Texas. The work environment may involve noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, uneven terrain, and other environmental factors. The role requires compliance with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety policies. If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required, and drivers are subject to a DMV records search.

Requirements

Have 2–4 years of electrical work experience, equivalent to 4,000–7,500 documented on-the-job training hours.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the importance of quality work.
Be detail-oriented and have strong communication skills.
Communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency.
If driving is required, have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability; drivers are subject to a DMV records search.

Responsibilities

Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician.
Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects.
Learn about the tools and materials electricians use to complete tasks and projects.
Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area.
Install, start up, troubleshoot, commission, and service industrial and commercial electrical equipment and systems under the direction of Journeyman Electricians.
Follow the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.
Comply with applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety policies.
