About The Position
BHS Corrugated North America is hiring an Industrial Electrical Service Technician in the Indianapolis area to support our advanced industrial digital printing equipment. You'll provide hands-on electrical and controls support for our equipment located in Indianapolis, while also traveling to customer sites as needed for installations, troubleshooting, service, and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with PLC controls and programming
- Knowledge of VFDs/drives, servos, sensors, and process controls
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Industrial maintenance, automation, controls, or field service experience
- Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel when needed
Nice To Haves
- Technical/trade school or associate degree preferred
- Digital print experience is NOT required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and controls systems
- Provide ongoing technical support for our Indianapolis-based equipment
- Diagnose issues involving PLCs, drives, servos, and process controls
- Read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics
- Perform electrical calibrations and preventative maintenance
- Assist with equipment installations and commissioning
- Travel to other customer facilities as service needs arise
- Work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Document service work and technical findings
