About The Position

The Industrial Designer will be responsible for product design and development ownership, generating creative design concepts according to project objectives, and refining these concepts based on requirements, limitations, and possibilities in areas such as form, function, specifying, manufacturing, installation, and practicality. This role involves working alongside cross-disciplinary teams like Design Engineering to ensure technical aspects are considered, creating milestone presentations for internal and external stakeholders, and generating visual assets to communicate throughout the development process. The designer will utilize tools such as 3D CAD modeling and rendering, mockup and prototype making, and 3D printing to ensure all aspects of the design process are captured for a successful product launch.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Industrial Design.
Expert user of SolidWorks, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft/Google office applications.
Full understanding of manufacturing processes for different materials
Hands-on experience of working on physical products development.
Good Project management skills and time management skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously without compromising the quality or missing deadlines.
Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail
Proactive learner with a strong desire for continuous personal and professional growth.
Strong interpersonal skills paired with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Technical design background is a huge asset.
Furniture and/or architectural products design and development background is an asset.
Healthcare design & development is an asset.

Responsibilities

Product design & development ownership
Generating creative design concepts according to the project objectives
Refining the concepts based on the requirements, limitations, and possibilities in the areas form, function, specifying, manufacturing, installation, practicality, etc.
Work alongside cross-disciplinary teams such as Design Engineering to make sure the technical aspects are all considered in the design process.
Creating all projects milestone presentations according to the department and corporate quality level, and to present the content to the internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Generating visual assets to communicate throughout the development process.
Leading creation process of all launch assets (renders, animations, etc.) as per project objectives.
Using every available tools (3D CAD modeling & rendering, mockup & prototype making, 3D printing, etc.) to ensure having all aspects of design process captured to have a "good design" for launch.
