Architectural Designer
About The Position
OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking an Architectural Designer for its Raleigh office to join a full-service, integrated design-build team spanning architecture, engineering, project management, and construction. The role connects design work directly with the people who build projects and offers opportunities to learn from design and construction professionals. The Architectural Designer assists with site and space planning, researches applicable codes and ordinances, prepares design presentations, and produces architectural documents for permit submission and construction. The role also reviews project scopes and coordinates construction documents with construction project managers and consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant design experience.
- Ability to develop presentation drawings, including rendered or color site plans and elevations, and construction drawings.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma, and Enscape or Lumion.
- Experience with standard Microsoft software, such as Word and Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Photoshop and InDesign.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site and space planning for construction project managers.
- Research building codes, zoning, and local design ordinances.
- Prepare presentation drawings, diagrams, and renderings to convey design ideas.
- Review project scopes with construction project managers.
- Produce architectural documents for permit submittal and construction.
- Review and coordinate construction documents with construction project managers and consultants.
