About The Position

The Architectural Designer works with project Architects to develop 3-D Revit models and produce building construction documents. The role coordinates with engineers, designers, and other project-team disciplines to ensure designs are coordinated. It also provides drafting direction and support, assists experienced architects with day-to-day work, and mentors architectural designers. The position is based in Evansville, Indiana.

Requirements

Associate degree in an architectural-related technology program.
Minimum of 10 years of experience.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other visualization tools.
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt personal communication and behavior to coordinate effectively with others.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

Independently manage project drafting of all scales.
Assist the Architectural Manager and experienced architects with day-to-day tasks.
Work daily with all design-team disciplines.
Provide drafting direction and support to help ensure consistent, high-quality designs firm-wide.
Apply creative insight and practical solutions.
Research code requirements for each design.
Assist with preparing design presentations for clients.
Develop and coordinate project documents from schematic design through construction administration.
Meet established project budgets and schedules.
Mentor and develop architectural designers.
Coordinate designs with engineers, designers, and other project-team disciplines.
