About The Position

1.Analyze and optimize existing Robotic Fulfillment Centers (FC), Sortation Centers (SC) & other Amazon buildings performance and combine those learnings with the latest technologies to design new state of the art robotic material handling systems. 2. Evaluate and create physical processing and material handling solutions using cutting edge technology, robotics and data analytics to meet the product flow requirements based on Amazon design principles. 3. Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics as part of program and feature selection to drive smart decisions. Inspire strategic design decisions by identifying and inspecting key operational and financial metrics. 4. Coordinate with systems, operations engineering, technology product management and systems engineering teams to develop next generation solutions that further optimize the performance of the Amazon Fulfillment Network 5. Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with global internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. 6. Develop models as required to solve complex problems. 7. Domestic and international travel up to 10% of time to perform role responsibilities may be required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in industrial design, industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline and 1 year of experience in industrial design, industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience working with the designs of mechanical systems including high-speed manufacturing.
  • 1 year of experience using AutoCAD to build concepts for manufacturing processes.
  • 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, and data links.
  • 1 year of experience utilizing analytical tools SQL or Tableau.
  • 1 year of experience conducting field investigations and reporting issues
