About The Position

As the Lead Industrial Designer at Maven Robotics, you will work closely with company leadership and the product design team to develop all aspects of Maven’s visual brand language. The role has a high level of ownership over the cosmetic appearance, color, material, and finish (CMF), and UI/UX features of Maven products. Maven Robotics designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing, developing systems intended for complex physical environments and rigorous commercial standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional Industrial Design experience in the consumer products, automotive, or industrial products industries.
• A strong portfolio of design work on realized products, illustrating refined visual sensibility and a thoughtful balance between form and function.
• Demonstrated ability to own product design from early concept through high-volume production.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D design software.

Nice To Haves

• At least 10 years of Industrial Design experience in the consumer products, automotive, or industrial products industries.
• Industrial design experience in the robotics field.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs, design insights, and technical requirements into elegant, intuitive industrial design solutions.
• Drive the industrial design process from early concept exploration through detailed design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
• Brainstorm and create cohesive visual brand language options for Maven product lines.
• Work with the product design team to refine implementation details needed to achieve the desired appearance.
• Develop simple and efficient user interface concepts for deployment in industrial settings.
• Define Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) requirements and work with manufacturers to produce and maintain cosmetic appearance standards.
• Work with the team to evaluate cosmetic samples and prototypes against design intent.
• Support design reviews by preparing clear visual references, annotated models, and finish sample boards.
