About The Position

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Fort Worth, TX, has an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Control Panel Production Fabricator. This is an hourly, full-time position requiring the ability to fabricate routine to complex panel assemblies from drawings and wiring schematics. Panels are used in the water treatment industry, helping our customers sustain an environmentally clean and stable global water supply. Industrial Control Panel Production Fabricator must be able to interpret blueprints and follow work order instructions resulting in accurate assembly of components such as PLC’s, HMI’s, controllers, sensors, pumps, PVC pipe assemblies, etc. PLC assembly and/or wiring experience desired with UL508 Industrial Control Equipment knowledge (24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, motor controls). Involves extensive attention to detail, the importance of quality, and the ability to safely use hand tools, measuring equipment and PVC bonding products. Requirements

  • Combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three- five years’ work experience in a related industry that includes electrical, mechanical fabrication, plumping, water treatment, and similar manufacturing, and/or mechanical position.
  • Ability to comprehend, speak, read and write basic English to interpret and follow technical manuals, instructions, and/or blueprints.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC assembly and/or wiring experience desired with UL508 Industrial Control Equipment knowledge (24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, motor controls).
  • Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives.
  • Direct experience with or working knowledge of plumbing, welding, automotive, electrical, or mechanical operations.
  • Verbal communication skills with the ability to follow and provide directions effectively.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive “can do” approach to all responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
  • Assemble and wire electrical panels and enclosures using hand and power tools.
  • Configure industrial networking devices, modems, Ethernet switches, and remote communications.
  • Mount and connect components such as relays, circuit breakers, terminals, and PLCs.
  • Perform mechanical work including cutting, drilling, and tapping.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure panels meet safety and performance standards before shipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve build issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
  • Able to work overtime as required to meet customer requirements and business needs.
