About The Position

Northwest Pump is seeking an Industrial Applications Engineer to support its Industrial Sales division. The role provides technical quoting, training, and applications support for pumps, rotating machinery, and related systems. The engineer supports inside and outside sales, leads training programs for staff and partners, and helps customers select suitable products from Northwest Pump’s offerings. The position is a full-time opportunity with regular business hours, Monday through Friday, in Portland, Oregon, or Federal Way, Washington. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial pump sales, applications engineering, or technical consulting.
Strong background in mechanical systems or engineering principles.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, with strong math and technical writing abilities.
Computer proficiency, including CRM systems, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Organized, self-motivated, and reliable, with a proven history of independent work.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
Previous experience leading training or mentoring teams is highly valued.
