About The Position

As an Individualized Home Support Specialist (IHSS), you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients with diverse interests and needs. Your schedule is adaptable, typically in the afternoons or evenings, allowing you to balance this role with your other obligations. Your work will be shaped by each client’s unique personality and interests, keeping your role engaging and rewarding.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
18 Years or Older
Valid Driver’s License, Reliable Vehicle, and Auto Insurance
Ability to Pass Background Checks
Maintain primary personal auto liability insurance meeting required CSL limits and provide proof upon request

Responsibilities

Provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients with diverse interests and needs.
Support clients with outdoor adventures like walks, bike rides, park visits, or nature trails.
Engage clients in creative activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, music, or photography.
Assist clients with community engagement, including attending events, shopping trips, or volunteering.
Provide support with daily living, including routines, household tasks, and organization.
Support clients in fitness and wellness activities like exercise, swimming, or mindfulness practices.
Assist clients with technology, including apps, social media, or other tools.
Provide guidance, encouragement, and safety while supporting clients’ individual goals and preferences.
