About The Position

As an Individualized Home Support Specialist (IHSS), you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients with diverse interests and needs. Your schedule is adaptable, typically in the afternoons or evenings, allowing you to balance this role with your other obligations. Your work will be shaped by each client’s unique personality and interests, keeping your role engaging and rewarding.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 Years or Older
• Valid Driver’s License, Reliable Vehicle, and Auto Insurance
• Ability to Pass Background Checks
• Maintain primary personal auto liability insurance meeting required CSL limits and provide proof upon request

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients with diverse interests and needs.
• Engage in outdoor adventures such as walks, bike rides, park visits, or nature trails.
• Participate in creative activities like cooking new recipes, arts and crafts, music, or photography.
• Facilitate community engagement by attending events, shopping trips, or volunteering.
• Assist with daily living support, including routines, household tasks, and organization.
• Support fitness and wellness activities such as exercise, swimming, or mindfulness practices.
• Help clients with technology, including apps, social media, or other tools.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and safety while supporting clients’ individual goals and preferences.
