About The Position

The person in this position will provide direct job coaching support to individuals who are employed in the community and/or assist individuals in obtaining employment through job search/development and maintaining employment, including delivering supplemental curriculum-based lessons. The person in this position will need to work flexible hours to support varying schedules of the individuals in the program, and that may include the weekend and evenings. Mileage will be reimbursed for use of personal vehicle as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable with the agency carrier.
  • Must complete the Agency’s Employee Training
  • Certification and training, including but not limited to customized employment, CPR, first aid, PMT (Psychological/Physical Management Training), and DDS medication administration.
  • Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft products, use of email, and Therap preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, and support individuals at their worksites, following the dress code, vaccination requirements, and policies of the worksite.
  • Adapt equipment and/or job responsibilities to maximize the potential of the individuals receiving services.
  • Attentive to the safety of all individuals; ensure the proper use of equipment.
  • Provide job development support for individuals receiving services, including but not limited to resume writing, interview support, and completing job applications.
  • Provide job maintenance support for individuals receiving services, including but not limited to delivering curriculum-based lessons.
  • Provide transportation for individuals, in certain circumstances, utilizing their own vehicle or CCARC vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive data collection, including but not limited to daily data collection, reports, and attendance.
  • Attend, participate in, and provide information for Individual Plan (IP) meetings or any other meetings related to the assigned caseload.
  • Act as a primary liaison person between any employment site and CCARC, promoting the individuals' inclusion at the site(s); develop and maintain all pertinent records related to the site(s); and provide training to the business in order to increase natural supports for the hired individual.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with a variety of community organizations, community venues, and businesses in order to provide meaningful opportunities for inclusion and/or job placements.
  • As required, provide information relevant to individuals' payroll, according to federal and state wage and hour rules and regulations.
  • Maintain regular contact and communication with the director/designee regarding individuals, concerns, and updates.
  • Serve as a mentor/role model to all individuals and reinforce best practices.
  • Attend program-based trainings, in-services, and Communities of Practice, as appropriate.
  • Assist the employment department in outreach, networking, marketing, and referral events, as appropriate.
  • Maintain good daily attendance (days of absence and illness).
  • Create a personal work schedule that captures maximum support hours for all individuals in the program.
  • Cooperative, versatile, works as a team member.
  • Ability to work responsibly when working alone.
  • Maintain all annual trainings/certifications.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by the director of the department.
