About The Position

This Intern role supports assigned departmental initiatives and day-to-day activities, providing hands-on experience while contributing to team deliverables. Responsibilities may include documentation, analysis, project support, administrative tasks, and process improvement activities aligned with department needs and company priorities.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of procurement or supply chain concepts.
  • Ability to research suppliers, analyze spend data, and prepare summaries or reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills when managing documents and tracking information.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills appropriate for technical discussions.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor’s degree program in a related field
  • Intern experience in related environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on indirect spend categories, including market trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Assist with the development and execution of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for indirect goods and services.
  • Prepare cost comparison analyses, supplier scorecards, and recommendation summaries.
  • Analyze indirect spend data to identify purchasing patterns, savings opportunities, and compliance gaps.
  • Maintain and update dashboards, category spend reports, and savings trackers.
  • Support development of total cost of ownership (TCO) and cost-benefit analyses for sourcing initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing supplier business reviews, meeting agendas, and follow-up actions.
  • Help maintain the contract repository for non-production goods and services and track contract expirations and renewals.
  • Assist in documenting procurement processes and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work with internal departments including IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, and Marketing to support sourcing needs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
