About The Position

The Manager, Indirect Procurement is a key member of QXO’s world-class procurement organization, responsible for leading sourcing initiatives and advancing category strategies across indirect spend areas. This role delivers measurable business value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and data-driven insights, while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Beyond cost optimization, this role focuses on building scalable procurement capabilities, enhancing operational efficiency, mitigating risk, and strengthening supplier partnerships. The Manager serves as a trusted advisor and plays a critical role in shaping procurement excellence across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or contract management experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading sourcing initiatives across indirect categories
  • Strong experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with legal and commercial contract terms (e.g., indemnification, liability, SLAs, data privacy)
  • Experience working with Legal teams and contract management systems (CLM)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and reporting tools
  • Experience with procurement technologies (e-sourcing, P2P, CLM, analytics platforms)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and improve processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across indirect categories (e.g., IT, Logistics, Facilities, Marketing, Professional Services)
  • Lead the development and negotiation of national-level agreements supporting QXO branches across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring scalability, consistency, and value realization
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business priorities and category objectives
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling
  • Lead development and execution of multi-year category strategies and sourcing playbooks
  • Lead the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including drafting, redlining, negotiation, execution, and renewal
  • Partner with Legal to review terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance
  • Collaborate with Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), IT Security, and Legal teams to ensure suppliers meet security, data privacy, and risk compliance standards, operating within a cross-functional governance framework
  • Incorporate security, risk, and compliance requirements into contracts, including data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory obligations
  • Develop and negotiate commercial terms, including pricing structures, SLAs, KPIs, and performance incentives
  • Ensure contracts clearly define scope, deliverables, service levels, and compliance requirements
  • Manage contract repositories and ensure accurate documentation within CLM systems
  • Proactively identify and mitigate contractual risks, including financial, operational, cybersecurity, and compliance exposure
  • Support third-party risk assessments, due diligence, and remediation efforts during onboarding and throughout the supplier lifecycle
  • Support dispute resolution and contract interpretation as needed
  • Manage supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Lead supplier business reviews and performance evaluations against KPIs and SLAs
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation, cost savings, and supplier innovation
  • Ensure suppliers meet contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies
  • Act as a trusted advisor, influencing decisions through insights, analytics, and market knowledge
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and Operations
  • Support change management and adoption of procurement best practices
  • Drive compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and governance frameworks
  • Champion procurement technologies (e-sourcing tools, P2P systems, CLM platforms, analytics tools)
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Resolve complex or escalated procurement and supplier issue
  • Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify optimization opportunities
  • Track and report savings, KPIs, and procurement performance metrics
  • Develop executive-ready insights, dashboards, and presentations
  • Partner with Finance on savings validation and ROI tracking
  • Mentor and support analysts and junior team members
  • Build team capabilities in sourcing, contracting, analytics, and stakeholder engagement
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
