About The Position

The Indirect Procurement Buyer is responsible for aiding in sourcing activities for various areas of Indirect Procurement which may include MRO, office supplies, PPE, facilities management, Landscaping and utilities. This Buyer Role will support the team with tactical procurement work and category projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Procurement, Supply Chain or other business- related field
  • 2-3 years’ relevant procurement experience
  • Business experience with one or more targeted products/services
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytical thought process
  • Team player with the ability to work cross functionally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and GSuite a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within Indirect Procurement
  • Experience working for a Consumer Packaged Goods company

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing projects which may include market analysis, RFQ process, negotiations, contract initiation, and contract management.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal Business partners and other stakeholders, ensuring that Procurement offers support as needed.
  • Help drive cost-saving initiatives to align with company goals
  • Identify and gain alignment to pursue new savings or value add opportunities
  • Assist in Contract Renewals and help to increase the percentage of Spend Under Management (SUM)
  • Participate in internal demand management and partner with suppliers to add value and achieve continuous improvement
  • Complete analysis that supports assigned projects assessing industry factors, financial impact, risk and overall business decision, outlining the strength of the opportunity
  • Be able to determine total cost of ownership for products and services procured
  • Demonstrate a bias toward action and ability to work autonomously
  • PO creation, Vendor review/approval, and PO reconciliation as needed
  • Lease management and lease reporting in various systems.
  • Demonstrate an ability to have a sense of urgency when needed and know how to escalate internally when required
  • Manage catalog vendors and the assortment provided within Ariba
  • Travel as business needs dictate (limited)
